Helping Hands of Hospice

Teri Turner (at the time of interview) was an executive director at Hospice of Washtenaw and Monroe in Michigan. She discusses the role of Hospice to relieve pain and provide comfort for people who have a life-limiting illness.

Hospice also provides care for the survivors. Teri also explains how hospice provides care for people with AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). Later Teri presents an exercise of calming that she occasionally uses with her staff.

How do we deal with grief and the death of loved ones? Teri explains the dedication of hospice workers and also the challenges with the job.
