Chuck in the Military
SUMMARY:
Chuck Chambers finished seven years with the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany, New York, and Korea. Chuck details growing up in an Air Force family based in Europe and his coming out process which started in high school. For his term in the Army, he initially considered being gay to be abnormal, and it was something in himself that he tried to dismiss. He soon discovered how many gay military personnel there really were and how it was in many ways a “norm”. Relationships with fellow soldiers are discussed along with the consequences for such behavior.
