The Helping Hands of Hospice
SUMMARY:
What is Hospice care? A clinical nurse describes how hospice organizations support people with life-limiting illnesses. Additional focus is on the care of patients who have Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

Teri Turner was an executive director at Hospice of Washtenaw and Monroe discusses the role of Hospice to relieve pain and provide comfort for people who have a life-limiting illness. Hospice also provides care for the survivors. Teri also explains how hospice provides care for people with AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). Later an exercise of calming is presented that Teri occasionally used with her staff.
