The Naked Mile


The Naked Mile was an annual celebratory event to mark the completion of classes. It was an night-time tradition started by the Michigan Crew Team that quickly became an Ann Arbor phenomenon – and spectacle – as over subsequent years crowds swelled and participants included anybody willing.
